C\u2019est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 de la m\u00e9thodologie Lean, n\u00e9e au sein du Groupe nippon Toyota. Le Kaizen est utilis\u00e9 principalement dans l\u2019industrie, mais s\u2019adapte \u00e9galement \u00e0 d\u2019autres secteurs et permet de promouvoir l\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue au sein d\u2019une organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\nLe Kaizen a \u00e9t\u00e9 popularis\u00e9 au Japon apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre mondiale, principalement gr\u00e2ce aux travaux de W. Edwards Deming, un statisticien am\u00e9ricain qui a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 redresser l\u2019industrie japonaise. Le concept du Kaizen repose sur l\u2019id\u00e9e que des petits changements r\u00e9guliers et incr\u00e9mentiels conduisent \u00e0 des am\u00e9liorations importantes sur le long terme. continue est avant tout une question de culture, d\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019esprit.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nComme le dit bien Peter Drucker : \u201cculture eats strategy for breakfast\u201d (trad. la culture mange de la strat\u00e9gie au petit d\u00e9jeuner). Autrement dit, toutes les m\u00e9thodes du monde ne suffiront pas \u00e0 apporter un r\u00e9sultat significatif sans la volont\u00e9 collective de progresser.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nMais d\u2019o\u00f9 na\u00eet le besoin de s\u2019am\u00e9liorer ? La vie des entreprises (comme celle de chacun de nous, par ailleurs\u2026) est parsem\u00e9e de probl\u00e8mes : petits ou grands, urgents ou pas, parfois connect\u00e9s par des liens de cause \u00e0 effet, parfois isol\u00e9s.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nLa \u201ckaizen attitude\u201d r\u00e9side dans la volont\u00e9 de tous les membres de l\u2019entreprise &#8211; et je dis bien tous, donc middle et top management inclus &#8211; \u00e0 remettre en question l\u2019\u00e9tat actuel des choses, pour chercher comment r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes au lieu d\u2019expliquer pourquoi il est difficile de le faire.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nCette volont\u00e9 collective est par d\u00e9finition permanente, rien que pour le fait que tout est en changement perp\u00e9tuel et nous devons nous y adapter continuellement.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nL\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019esprit \u201ckaizen\u201d demande aux cadres dirigeants d\u2019\u00eatre doux avec les personnes, mais exigeant avec les probl\u00e8mes et refl\u00e8te la r\u00e9elle confiance en leurs \u00e9quipes : pas besoin d\u2019\u00eatre officiellement un sp\u00e9cialiste ou un haut grad\u00e9 pour aider \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le quotidien de l\u2019entreprise. Les \u00e9quipes qui pratiquent le Kaizen suivent ainsi ce cycle pour planifier les changements, les mettre en place, v\u00e9rifier les r\u00e9sultats et appliquer des actions correctives si besoin.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nLe cycle PDCA a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par William Edwards Deming, cit\u00e9 plus haut dans l\u2019article. Voici les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes du cycle PDCA :\n<\/p><p>\n<ul><li>\nEtape 1 : Planifier (Plan) &#8211; cette \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer les objectifs \u00e0 atteindre et identifier les probl\u00e8mes et pistes d\u2019am\u00e9lioration. A la fin de cette \u00e9tape, l\u2019\u00e9quipe est en mesure de pr\u00e9senter un plan SMART (Sp\u00e9cifique, Mesurable, Atteignable, R\u00e9aliste, Temporellement d\u00e9fini) permettant de mettre en \u0153uvre les am\u00e9liorations identifi\u00e9es.\n<\/li>\n<li> Etape 2 : D\u00e9ployer (Do) &#8211; il s\u2019agit de la phase de mise en \u0153uvre du plan cit\u00e9 dans l\u2019\u00e9tape 1. Il est assez courant que les \u00e9quipes Kaizen exp\u00e9rimentent et fassent des essais pour tester de nouvelles approches.\n<\/li>\n<li>\n Etape 3 : Contr\u00f4ler (Check) : cette \u00e9tape consiste \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les r\u00e9sultats obtenus apr\u00e8s la mise en \u0153uvre du plan. C\u2019est \u00e9galement \u00e0 ce moment que l\u2019\u00e9quipe compare les r\u00e9sultats avec les objectifs d\u00e9finis lors de la premi\u00e8re phase.\n<\/li>\n\n<li> Etape 4 : Agir (Act) : si les r\u00e9sultats correspondent aux objectifs d\u00e9finis, l\u2019\u00e9quipe adopte les nouvelles pratiques comme de nouvelles normes. En revanche, si des \u00e9carts sont identifi\u00e9s, les parties prenantes analysent les raisons et apportent les ajustements n\u00e9cessaires au plan initial afin d\u2019atteindre les objectifs d\u00e9finis au d\u00e9part.\n<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nEt ainsi de suite, autrement dit, le cycle PDCA se r\u00e9p\u00e8te en continu ; on parle de<strong> processus cyclique<\/strong> favorisant l\u2019am\u00e9lioration continue et it\u00e9rative.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nLe cycle PDCA est tr\u00e8s utilis\u00e9 dans le domaine de la qualit\u00e9, du lean management et de la gestion de projet.
